Information Technology

Would you like to use computers to improve the world around you?

Information technology is the fastest-growing field in the world. You might work with computer hardware, software, media, or apps. You might design new software to help doctors get to hurricane victims or work on the team that creates the next game on Android. You might work in law enforcement to track cyber-terrorists or you might animate the CGI effects in super-hero movies.

Every career from agriculture to teaching relies on technology. The demand for people to create and support that technology is growing exponentially every year.

For 2017, we will be offering three courses: IT Launch is an introductory course offered at each high school. Project Lead The Way AP Computer Science Principles course will be offered at the CTech building in the Heintz Center in the fall and a new course IT Infrastructure will be offered at CTECH in the spring.

Information Technology Classes:

  • IT Launch (A one-semester class taught at Mayo, Century and JM)
  • PLTW: AP Computer Science Principles (Taught at CTECH)
  • IT Infrastructure (Taught at CTECH)
  • AP Computer Science "A" (Taught at the High Schools)
